I woke up at 6:30am. It was the most difficult mornings but I made it. I slept my way on the GO Bus to Yorkdale for a good hour. I finally arrived at Flemington P.S. exactly at 8:30am as told. I went into the staff room to get ready; I found my partner lying on the coach; stretched out. O_O Do you have any idea how irritated I was? Does she not know the assembly starts at fcking 10am & we have so much shit to prepare for in that 1 1/2 hours? We still had posters that needed to be cut, glued & organized. She sees me & says "Hi Lisa" I was like "Hi, Why are you lying on the coach" her response was "I'm so tired." I'm thinking to myself .... Well no shit I'm tired too but at least show some professionalism. We are NURSES, nursing students FROM YORK UNIVERSITY. I was just so embarrased omg .. how the hell would the staff think of us when they see her like that? Infact, one of the staff members was in there too. Holy shit -.- It wasn't even her first time doing that ... Seriously!
Anyway, the grades 1-3 came in. Im like shit, i was starting to get nervous. My turn to get infront of like 100+ kids & starting to dance but the most awful thing was the boombox wasn't loud enough I couldn't hear the exercise routine properly. 3 Physical activites within 1 hour. My god, I'm sooo tired & sore. My face was all pink by the end of the assembly. LOL
1hr to rest, 12:30PM the second assmebly grades 4-5's. Smaller group and 1/2 of them were students I worked with before. I was pretty chill the 2nd time around. I just hope the kids had a lot of fun. While dancing & doing the exercise routine, they got SO ROWDY everybody wanted to be near me! It was like .. gosh, I have no room to move! haha. I was sooooooo damn sore. My thighs hurt man, the crazy aerobic exercise was so damn intense for 10mins none of the staff could keep up. LOL But it was so much fun. I loved it! After the assembly was over ... all the kids knew my name XD. Im walking through the hallways. "Hi Ms. Phan!" "Hi Ms. Phan. I'm looking forward to assembly in the afternoon." "Hi Ms. Phan" HAHAHA. Honestly, it was the cutest thing ever!
I think the students really enjoyed themselves. So I'm glad everything worked out. I sacrificed so much outside placement hours to run this assembly it was all worth it. I'll upload the assembly photos/videos when I get those. Now, I must tackle my 25% paper.
